Snoop has escaped a prison sentence in relation to a 2006 incident over gun possession .

The rapper was arrested after he was found carrying a collapsible baton in his hand luggage at an Airport in California last year.
He pleaded guilty to one count of felony possession of a dangerous weapon in a California court on Thursday, and was sentenced to 160 hours of community service and three years probation.
