Ciara To Star In “Mama, I Want to Sing!”

Ciara was spotted at the 4th Annual VH1 Hip Hop Honors ceremony in New York City,yesterday.

Ciara will star in a movie entitled “Mama, I Want to Sing!”.
Veteran soul singer Patti LaBelle, Lynn Whitfield and Billy Zane will also be in the film, which is scheduled for theatrical release mid-February of 2008.
The film is an adaptation of a Off-Broadway gospel musical, with the same title.
It’s based on the life story of Doris Troy, a preacher’s daughter who sang in a church choir before being discovered by James Brown.
