Beyonce,Solange World Tour 2009 - Solange Knowles was pictured as she launched off her new album,in Madrid-Spain earlier today.Beyonce and Solange will be doing a 110-date world tour in 2009.Entertainment Weekly is reporting:
Then she kicks off a 110-date tour in April, starting in Canada before going on to Europe, the States, Mexico, South America, and a week-long stint in Vegas, before wrapping up in Japan, Africa, and Australia.
Solange’s new album “Sol-Angel & The Hadley St Dreams” was released in August.

Solange Sol-Angel And The Hadley St. Dreams Album Review-Solange Knowles will be releasing her album called “Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams” next week,and she has decided to leak the LP’s artwork.Additionally you can read an interesting review of Solange Knowles’ “Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams” below by entertainment.ie:
‘Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams’ is a likeable r ‘n’ b-styled pop album that’s not nearly as commercially viable as her sister’s material - thus ensuring that she’s more likely to be taken seriously by music fans outside the chart realm.Indeed, tracks like the jazzy God Given Name and I Told You So allude to Erykah Badu’s more accessible material at times, and the sampling of Boards of Canada track ‘Slow This Bird Down’ on the excellent This Bird earns Knowles some serious cool points. Largely, though, she borrows from a pool of ’70s soul/funk influences like Martha Reeves and Diana Ross (sampling The Supremes on Neptunes-produced I Decided, Part 1 to nifty effect). These dabblings are initially enjoyable, but quickly grow tiresome and samey, and it’s up to the off-kilter musings of Cosmic Journey to elevate the album from its middle-section dip.
The guest producers (The Neptunes, Mark Ronson, Freemasons amongst them) do little to enhance this album, either - although Freemasons do turn in an excellent remix of I Decided. Nonetheless, Solange can hold her head high in the knowledge that she’s got the smarts, and perhaps the potential, to give big sis a run for her money some day. She’s certainly on the right path.

You’ve already been married, divorced and become a mother, do you think those experiences have helped or hurt you?
It helps. People expect women, especially in R&B, to be very prim and proper and this sort of model. The artists with the best albums have been inspired by situations of pain and growth. I’ve definitely been through a lot in the past few years, so I’m very proud to say that I’ve matured. A marriage, a divorce and having a baby will do that to you.
How do you deal with the comparisons to Beyonce?
At first I didn’t want to make people uncomfortable in interviews, I didn’t want to come off rude or arrogant. Now, I just really don’t care.

Here are some pictures of Solange Knowles celebrating her 22nd birthday with a guests list that included Beyonce, Tina,Ludacris,Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Ronson, and singer JoJo in Los Angeles last night.She recently revealed that having a famous older sister has its blessings as well as its curses.
“People think that my family association helps me, but in a lot of senses it hinders me. When reaching out to these producers, they don’t know if I’m a real musician or if I’m just someone’s annoying little sister.”

Solange Knowles has broken her foot at a concert in Kansas City, Missouri on June 1st.Knowles was entering the stage when a piece of metal fell from the doorway and landed on her foot. Nonetheless Solange battled through and performed as if nothing happened.Her rep said:
Solange will continue performing the remainder of the shows on her Art of Love Tour.
Knowles will be promoting her album ‘Sol-Angel and the Hadley St Dreams’,in stores late August,with a show at Cleveland’s House of Blues tomorrow.
