John Legend Open Letter To New York Post – Few days ago The New York Post published a cartoon by Sean Delonas that compared President Barack Obama to a chimpanzee.The drawing was composed of two policemen over the body of a chimpanzee they’ve just shot as one officer says, “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.”

Rihanna Incident:John Legend Slams Chris Brown “That’s Unacceptable” – John Legend is the latest celebrity to defend Rihanna,after she was assaulted by Chris Brown.The R&B crooner told People:
“I know both of them. I was surprised when I heard because it doesn’t strike me as something Chris would do.”
The singer added:
“You never know what’s inside people or what can trigger that.”
“It’s an awful story.” “I feel terrible for both of them but if Chris did what they said he did, that’s unacceptable. He has to accept the consequences of it.”

John Legend will make his movie debut in the upcoming “Soul Men”.The R&B singer joins Isaac Hayes,Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac in the casting.The film tells the story of two former bandmates (Jackson and Mac) who have to reunite when a third member (Legend) dies.You can read more about it here.

John Legend To Perform In-flight Concert For CBS

John Legend and his girlfriend Christine Teigen were pictured jumping over snow at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, Park City,Utah yesterday.
John Legend will be performing an in-flight concert to 60 sweepstakes winners from CBS stations to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Grammy Awards.
Legend will play a 30-minute set at 30,000 feet aboard a Delta Air Lines plane traveling from New York to Los Angeles on 7 February.Legend said:
“I look forward to performing this unique concert in the skies with my biggest fans.
“It’s certainly something I’ve never done before, so if you want to join me for a free ride to the Grammy Awards, enter the contest. Let’s get lifted!”
The 2008 Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 10th in Los Angeles.

“For me, I’m just a girl still from Harlem, and here I am,” “It’s a tremendous feeling to do what you love and for people to love what you do. … People are honoring me for doing what my heart tells me to do, (and that is) so fulfilling.”
John Legend was glad to see Keys recognized.Legend said:
“She has had exceptional success in her career. She carries herself with such dignity and grace, and her charitable work is also really exceptional. I think she’s a great entertainer and a great citizen of the world.”
