Da Brat:Da Brat Sentenced To Three Years In Prison-Da Brat whose real name is Shawntae Harris has been sentenced to three years in prison for hitting Shala Stevens, a waitress at Jermaine Dupri’s Studio 72 with a bottle of alcohol back in November 2007. Stevens who is a model,cheerleader, and actress said that she suffered from deep lacerations to her cheek ,swelling to her forehead ,permanent disfigurement and mental distress as a result of the attack, greatly affecting her career.
Da Brat must also complete seven years of probation and complete 200 hours of community service.

Da Brat Arrested

Rapper Da Brat was arrested,early this morning after a quarrel with a waitress at a nightclub northeast of Atlanta.Brat whose real name is Shawntae Harris was charged with aggravated assault.The dispute between the women apparently started after the waitress bumped into Harris.The Associated Press reports:

At some point, the waitress walked away and moments later was hit in the face with the bottle of rum.

Shawntae was the first female rapper to have a platinum-selling album.Recently she was seen as a judge on MTV’s Celebrity Rap Superstar.
