Bob Johnson BET Founder Slams Barack Obama
Bob Johnson,the president of BLACK Entertainment Television (BET) and Hillary Rodham Clinton’s most prominent black supporter blasted Barack Obama for doing drugs when he was younger by saying:
“As an African American, I’m frankly insulted that the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Bill and Hillary Clinton, who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues when Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood that I won’t say what he was doing but he said it in his book.”
We can agree to disagree but there is no justification to dragging another black person down.
Why is it that every election they come up with the drug issue. Bush, Clinton and Now Obama have been forced to deal with this. Hillary should remember which stones shes throwing.
Is Bob Johnson really saying this? Has he watched his own network lately? BET is a disgrace to educated Black Americans and I find it hypocritical that this man would criticize Mr. Obama for his honesty in trying to address this issue that confronts many black urban youth. I don’t see how music videos depicting violence, drug sales/use and misogyny are helping to further the cause of the black community in this country.
