Barack Obama Tells Black Dads: Have The Courage To Be A Father

Sen. Barack Obama spoke at the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago, IL,earlier today where he urged Black fathers to step up to the challenges of fatherhood.Obama told the crowd:

“They’ve abandoned their responsibilities.” “They’re acting like boys instead of men, and the foundations of our families have suffered because of it. You and I know this is true, but nowhere is it more true than in the African-American community.”

The Democratic party nominee also added:

“Any fool can have a child.”"That doesn’t make you a father. It’s the courage to raise a child that makes you a father.”
