Ray Nagin Orders Mandatory Evacuation:Ray Nagin Says Hurricane Gustav Real Deal - New Orleans residents have been ordered to leave the city immediately as Hurricane Gustav arrives in the city.After Hurricane Katrina killed about 1,600 people three years ago,Mayor Ray Nagin is not taking any chances and has provided people with free buses, trains to flee.Nagin called Gustav the ’storm of the century’ and told residents to:
“get your butts out of New Orleans now.”"This is the real deal, not a test,” staying would be “one of the biggest mistakes of your life.” He emphasized that the city will not offer emergency services to anyone who chooses to stay behind.
Gustav has already killed more than 80 people in the Caribbean, and if current forecasts hold up, it would make landfall Monday afternoon somewhere between the East Texas and western Mississippi.

Queen Latifah Adopting Child - Queen Latifah has apparently decided to adopt an African-American baby with longtime partner and personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins.According to reports:
“It’s top secret right now, but they are hoping to have a little one by Christmas.”“They’re trying to keep it quiet because they don’t want to jinx the whole thing…They’re completely dedicated to each other. This baby is going to be the biggest thing that’s ever happened to either of them.”
Latifah has enlisted the help of her sister, a social worker for the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services, in selecting a child in need.
“Her mom Rita is just as excited about the baby as she is. Rita’s like, ‘c’mon already! I’m not getting any younger I can’t wait to get my hands on that baby! Latifah tells her, ‘Ma, I’m working on it!”

Suge Knight Arrested & Released - Marion “Suge” Knight who was arrested yesterday on felony assault and drug charges has been released from a Las Vegas jail.Knight posted $19,000 bail Wednesday and promised to appear in Las Vegas Justice Court on Sept. 26.Police arrested the hip hop mogul on Wednesday morning after officers say they saw him beat his girlfriend while brandishing a knife in a parking lot near the Las Vegas Strip.Police say Knight had the drugs Ecstasy and hydrocodone when he was arrested.
